CGI has a dedicated team of professionals on site. In addition to this, our lines are transferable to other extensions when required. CGI also has remote agents who are connected through the internet. They are on stand-by, ready, when the need arises.
Our system back-up is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and generator for the computer and telephone systems. Our Megalinks automatically connect to these independent lines during an outage.
Calls are continuously recorded from all work stations, including reception.
Our computer program used to register the Claims Reports and attentiveness to our clients' instructions is custom-made by CGI. This is also completely supported in-house offering significant flexibility and response when required. During 2006, our claims centre processed approximately 65,000 calls. During peak times of catastrophe response, this centre has responded to more than 100,000 calls.
All of our agents, including back-up, are fluently bilingual in English and French, both oral and written. They are all fully versed in the basic skill sets required to respond to our clients' requirements. In addition to our fully bilingual staffing feature, every shift has an on site claims adjuster to supervise, coach and give full technical support to our team.
