VIN Claims Gold was developed in conjunction with SIU staff from several insurers and the Investigative Services Division of the IBC. Although this service was developed specifically to benefit claims personnel, underwriters also benefit from its use because it allows formerly "used" vehicles to be checked before they are added to an existing policy. The risk of fraud is minimized because claims and policy history can be analyzed by VIN over the lifetime of the vehicle regardless of owner or insurer.

Key Features:

• Report is based upon a specific Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) as opposed to a policy number or driver's license number
• Assists in identifying vehicles with multiple or frequent claims, possibly from multiple owners or through multiple insurers
• Integration of Checkpoint inspection information
• Warnings regarding simultaneous or no current coverage for the vehicle are displayed in the policy history section of this report
